Iran: More than 600 injured as 6.3-magnitude quake strikes
An earthquake of 6.3 magnitude rocked Iran’s western border with Iraq on Sunday night. According to the state television, more than 600 people were injured and most of them suffered minor wounds. No fatalities had been reported so far.

According to the media reports, the number of injured people has crossed 650. Most of them were not hospitalized because of the minor injuries.

The tremors of this earthquake were felt in Kuwait, Baghdad and Kurdistan Region. No damage was reported.

People feared aftershocks of the earthquake. They spent the night on the streets in the cold weather. The earthquake triggered landslides in many areas. The Iranian authorities had already sent their rescue teams to the sensitive areas. -PTC NEWS
