ISRO's PSLVC-45 successfully injects EMISAT into sun-synchronous polar orbit Indian Space Research Organization today added another feather to its cap as it successfully launched EMISAT satellite along with 28 nanosatellites of global customers using Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle from Sriharikota. The EMISAT aimed at electromagnetic spectrum measurement. EMISAT is the country’s latest observatory satellite. ISRO’s PSLVC-45 today successfully injected EMISAT into Sun Synchronous polar orbit. This launch comes a few days after India test-fired an anti-satellite (ASAT) missile in the Mission Shakti operation. According to media reports, the satellite weighs 436 kg. It will monitor and provide locations for enemy radar sites in their territory. Besides monitoring our own launch, but will monitor 28 satellites from four countries including the USA. The launch carries 28 international customer satellites from four countries -- Lithuania, Spain, Switzerland and the USA. All these satellites are being launched under commercial arrangements.
