Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: In 2019, Jagdeep 'Goldy' Kamboj resigned as National Secretary, JYC and main membership of the Indian National Congress. He then contested as an independent candidate in the Punjab by-election, against Raminder Awla of the Congress. He joined the Aam Aadmi Party in February 2020.
