Jalandhar Administration Airlifts 1,000 Quintals Of Ready To Eat Food Material For Kerala Jalandhar administration airlifts 1,000 quintals of ready-to-eat food material from Adampur Air Base on Monday Morning. It was a part of Punjab CM Amarinder Singh’s announcement to extend Rs 10 crore relief from Punjab to flood-hit Kerala. Jalandhar deputy commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma told the reporters that he himself monitored the entire packaging of the food material here on Sunday. He said that more than one lakh of packets of ready food material was packed to be distributed in the flood-affected state. Each packet consists of a large packet of biscuits, two small packets of biscuits, a packet of tea and sugar, two packets of dry milk and one bottle of water. He said, “After completing the entire packaging process by late Sunday evening, the food would be airlifted on Monday from Adampur.” The deputy commissioner deployed 1,000 labourers to complete this gigantic exercise. -PTC NEWS
