Jalandhar: Flood-like situation in 7 villages of Phillaur following heavy rainfall, see photos

Jalandhar: Flood-like situation has erupted in the 7 villages of Phillaur following the heavy rainfall that took place since Saturday and the continuous rainfall has led to the major havoc. The India Meteorological Department on Friday issued an alert alarming about the heavy to heavy rainfall in the city, including other districts of Punjab and also the neighbour states, which includes Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, etc. Meanwhile, the news agency ANI has shared some of the photos which show the Flood-like situation in 7 villages of Phillaur following heavy rainfall, in Jalandhar. Punjab is dealing with the natural outraged caused by the heavy rainfall. Not only Jalandhar, but the areas of Ludhiana and other districts are too jolted with the continuous downpour.  On Sunday, the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma has ordered the Sub Divisional Magistrates Phillaur, Nakodar & Shahkot to get 81 low lying and flood-prone villages evacuated, following the release of 1,89,940 cusec of water from the Ropar Headwork.
