J&K Awantipora Encounter: 1 terrorist killed, 1 cop martyred
Jammu and Kashmir Awantipora Encounter: At least one terrorist killed and SPO of J&K Police was martyred after an enouncter broke out in the Awantipora town of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir. Police & security forces present; more details awaited. SPO of J&K Police, who lost his life, has been identified as Shahbaz Ahmad. Paying tribute to Ahmad, Kashmir Zone Police said in a tweet: "We pay our rich tributes to martyr Shahbaz Ahmad who made supreme sacrifices in the line of duty at Awantipora. Senior civil and police officers laid floral wreaths on the mortal remains and paid rich tributes to the martyr for the supreme sacrifices made in the line of duty. Meanwhile, Kashmir Zone Police gave update about the story and wrote "#Awantipora encounter update: 01 #terrorist has been killed. #Operation is in progress. Further details shall follow."
