At least three civilians, including a seven-year-old child and a woman, were killed and four others were injured during intense shelling by the Pakistan army from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. The heinous attack comes two days after the Indian Army targeted launch pads and gun positions of the militants across the Keran sector in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir following the unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan. Srinagar-based defence spokesman Col Rajesh Kalia stated that the ceasefire violation was initiated by Pakistan in the Keran sector. Pakistan targeted civilians in the Kupwara sector near the LoC that resulted in the killing of three civilians, he said.
