Jammu & Kashmir: 223 militants gunned down till November
The security force in Jammu and Kashmir have killed 223 militants till November. The toll of militants killed this year is the highest since 2010.
As many as 75 militants were killed in 2017 whereas 45 militants were gunned down in 2016.In 2015, 64 militants were gunned down by security forces.
Last year, security forces had launched Operation All-out year to flush out the militants. As many as 258 militants of different terrorist organizations were shortlisted for Operation All-Out.
This year the security forces targeted the top militants group including Jaish-e-Mohammad , Hizbul Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Taiba. The forces gunned down top militants Shakir Hassan Dar , close aide of Zakir Musa and Mufti Waqas , the mastermind of the Sunjawan attack. - PTC News
