Punjab CM announces job and financial aid for Mansa martyr’s family
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Sunday mourned the sacrifice of the brave hearts who lost their lives in the Handwara encounter in Jammu and Kashmir. In an attack, four army men including a Colonel and a Major and one cop were martyred.
Captain Amarinder Singh announced a job to a family member with Rs 10 lakh financial aid to the next of kin of NK Rajesh Kumar, a soldier who hailed from District Mansa of Punjab. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid tribute to the security personnel who were martyred in an Handwara encounter in Jammu and Kashmir.
PM Modi said in a tweet: "Tributes to our courageous soldiers and security personnel martyred in Handwara. Their valour and sacrifice will never be forgotten. They served the nation with utmost dedication and worked tirelessly to protect our citizens. Condolences to their families and friends."

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had said that "I offer my tributes to the soldiers and security personnel who fell in action. My heart goes out to the families who lost their loved ones today. India stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of these brave martyrs." "The loss of our soldiers and security personnel in Handwara(J&K) is deeply disturbing and painful. They showed exemplary courage in their fight against the terrorists and made supreme sacrifice while serving the country. We will never forget their bravery and sacrifice," he added.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal said that "I salute the supreme sacrifice of Naik Rajesh Kumar, 21RR, from village Rajrana in Mansa district, who laid down his life while defending the nation in a gunfight with militants in Handwara. May Gurusahib grant strength to the martyr's family in this hour of grief."
