J&K; Police releases photos of 4 suspects, says murder was planned in Pak The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said it has identified three Lashkar-e-Toiba militants and a Pakistan-based Srinagar resident, who were behind the killing and hatching conspiracy of Kashmir’s journalist Shujaat Bukhari. “The conspiracy was hatched in Pakistan and executed by the three terrorists here. The investigation has established that it was done by Lashkar,” Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, Swayam Prakash Pani told reporters in Srinagar. He identified the three Lashkar attackers as Azad Ahmed Malik from Anantnag district; Muzafar Ahmad Bhat, and Pakistani militant Naveed Jatt. Another accused is Sajad Gul, a Srinagar resident now based in Pakistan. “Sajad Gul is based in Pakistan, he was arrested in Delhi in 2003 and was again arrested in 2016 in Srinagar. He fraudulently obtained a passport and went to Pakistan in March 2017,” the IGP said. The editor-in- chief of Rising Kashmir Shujaat Bukhari was shot dead by gunmen along with his two security guards in the heart of city on eve of Eid-ul-Fitr on June 14. -PTC News-
