Sukhbir Badal, Harsimrat Kaur extend greetings on Janmashtami
Janmashtami is celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Krishna. The devotees indulged themselves in the celebrations with the same dedication but this year Janmashtami is being celebrated with precautions and care.
At a lot of places, the celebrations are kept low-key due to the pandemic. The dance and cultural performances which used to take place every year won’t happen this year.
Meanwhile, Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Badal took to Twitter to wish everyone Happy Janmashtami. He wrote, “Heartiest greetings to all of you on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janamashtami. May Lord Krishna fulfill all your wishes.” He also shared a beautiful picture of Lord Krishna.
On the same hand, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal also extended her wishes and greeted everyone as she tweeted, “Greetings to everyone on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janamashtami. May Lord Krishna bless us all with Love, Peace, Happiness, Humility, Compassion & Prosperity.”

In most parts of India, it is being celebrated virtually and maintaining social distance in the temples. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted, "Best wishes on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami. Jai Shri Krishna!”
