Jeweller shot dead at shop in Ambala City
On Friday, a jeweller was shot dead by five unidentified armed men in Haryana's Ambala city. Three motorcycle-borne men opened fire at 45-year-old- jeweller at around 8 pm. The deceased has been identified as Sunil Jain (45), and the injured has been identified as Bharat Bhushan. According to the media sources, five unidentified armed men entered the shop with the motive of burglary.
The jeweller and the helper tried to stop them, following which they opened fire and fled the spot. Sunil was shot in the chest, neck and stomach, while his helper sustained a bullet injury on his thigh. Sunil is survived by his wife and two daughters.
Following the incident, all the jewellers of the area gathered at the spot and began protesting. They alleged that the law and order situation in the area was deteriorating. They have given 24 hours ultimatum to the police to nab the killers. If police fails to nab them, the jewellers would intensify their protest.
