Jewellery trader from Amritsar Punjab shot dead in Bihar
A jewellery trader from Amritsar, Punjab died as unidentified criminals on Friday night opened fire at them in Bihar's Chhapra town, the district headquarters of Saran district, police said. The companion with the jewellery trader received injuries and has been taken to the Chhapra Sadar Hospital. Both the traders were returning on a rickshaw after selling gold and collecting cash when motorcycle-borne criminals stopped them near the bus stand in Bhagwan Bazar area of Chhapra and shot dead Sarvajit Singh and seriously injured Avar Singh, as per information by the police officials. The criminals looted Rs 2 lakh cash and over 500 gram gold from them, as per the Sub-Divisional Police Officer Ajay Kumar Singh. -PTC News
