Jewelry worth Rs 140 Cr looted in Uttar Pradesh A massive theft was reported by a jeweler in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. Gold and diamond jewelry worth Rs 140 crore has been stolen from a jewelry store on Birhana Road in Kanpur. The shop was shut down five years back. There was a dispute between the business partners. Nearly 10,000 carats of diamonds, 500 kg silver, 100 kg gold and jewels worth 5,000 carats were looted. Along with these, important business-related documents were also stolen. The police is checking the CCTV footage of the shops around the shop, where the theft took place.
