Jharkhand Mob Killing: Another case of mob lynching in Jharkhand resulted in the brutal death of 24-year-old Tabriz Ansari. Tarbiz who was a suspect of bike theft was allegedly tied to a pole by the mob and was beaten for four hours viciously. In the viral video, captured by the mob itself, the dead can be seen being forced to chant “Jai Shri Ram” and “Jai Hanuman”. https://twitter.com/i/status/1142685908191199232 After Tarbiz fell unconscious he was handed to police. He was rushed to the civil hospital in Saraikela-Kharsawan district and later to the Tata Main Hospital in Jamshedpur. But was declared dead on Saturday. Shahista Parveen mourning over his husband’s death said “he was beaten for being Muslim. My husband was my only support. I’ve no one to look after me now. I want justice”. This lead to the suspension of two police officers and 11 men out of mob were arrested. Almost a dozen of such cases have taken place this year taking 4 lives and leaving 22 critically injured.
