J&K: Soldier, on leave for son’s last rites in Kulgam, killed by militants Mourning the death of his 17-year-old-son, Lance Naik Mukhtar Ahmad Malik (43) of 162 Battalion of the Territorial Army was shot dead at his house in Kulgam’s Churat village.
'He(Lance Naik Mukhtar Ahmad who was killed by terrorists) was on leave in Kulgam to perform last rites and to grieve untimely demise of his son in accident a few days ago. We stand in solidarity with martyr's family and assure full support at this hour of grief and in future,' Army said.
