Journalist Murder Case: Gurmeet Ram Rahim and three others slapped with Life Imprisonment
The Special CBI on Thursday sentenced Gurmeet Ram Rahim & three others to undergo life imprisonment in the murder case of journalist Ram Chander Chhatarpati. Three other convicts Kuldeep Singh, Nirmal Singh and Krishan Lal, have also been awarded life imprisonment. A fine of Rs 50,000 each has also been imposed by the Court.
According to the sources, the family of Ram Chander Chhatarpati, demanded death sentence for Dera Chief.

On January 11, special CBI court convicted all four accused who were involved in the murder of Ramchandra Chhatrapati. They were produced before the judge via video-conferencing. Dera chief was convicted under section 302 and 120B IPC for murder of journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati.

The case was heard by CBI special judge Jagdeep Singh, who had convicted Gurmeet Ram Rahim in a rape case in 2017.
