The Kalka-Shimla heritage line resumed its services from Solan to Shimla after five months with two special passengers. The train carried two candidates who were appearing for the National Defence Academy (NDA) exams on Sunday. publive-image The Chief Commercial Inspector of the Kalka-Shimla railway, Amar Singh Thakur, told ANI that this special train started to provide transportation to the candidates appearing in the National Defense Academy (NDA) examination of India which are being conducted by the Union Public Service Commission Examination across India.

He said that two passengers travelled in this train covering the distance of 47 kilometers. Likewise, the same train would return back. Thakur also said that they are expecting more travellers. The train has the capacity of 248 passengers, he added.
