Karza Mukti Maha rally by farmers, dharna outside CM house in Patiala September 22 onward
Karza Mukti Maha rally was organized by seven farmers at the grain market Chandigarh today. The seven farmers were supported by a large number of farmers and their families had participated in the rally. “We have decided to organise a five-day dharna in front of the CM’s house in Patiala from September 22 as the state government had failed to meet our demand of complete debt waiver,” said Joginder Singh Ugraha, president, BKU Ugraha. BKU Ugraha, BKU Dakaunda, BKU Krantikari, Kirti Kisan Union, Kisan Sangharash Commiittee (Azad and Kanwalpreet Pannu), Kirti Kisan Union and Kisan Union Krantikari were the seven organisations. Capt Amarinder Singh and congress government were on the target of the farmers as the govt did not fulfill promises of debt waivers. They also said the congress government had cheated them. He said they would not sit back and let the govt sneak this easy with the false promises, the dharna will be intensified in the coming few days. -PTC News
