Kisan Gantantra Parade: With farmers are set for a tractor march in Delhi on Republic Day, a Punjab farmer is getting viral as he drove a tractor in reverse gear from Barnala in Punjab to the Singhu Border in Delhi.

As per the report, the stunt (to drive a tractor in reverse gear) was a symbol to appeal Centre to ‘reverse’ farm laws.

Punjab farmer has been identified as Gurcharan Singh, who belongs to Rasoolpur Phawahi village.

He said that he was cautious about other motorists on road. Even as he spent more money on diesel and took extra care of the vehicle’s clutch plate and brakes.

He also said that his neck and legs ached for days. He wanted to send a message to the government to put the laws in reverse gear.”

As per the report, he reached the Singhu border with his friend Harbans Singh and a flag bearing religious symbols of Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims, and Christians.

Farmers in huge numbers are protesting at the Delhi borders against the farm laws 2020 that were passed by the government during the monsoon session of the Parliament.

It is pertinent to mention that farmers have been allowed by the Delhi Police to take out Tractor March in Delhi on Republic Day 2021.
