Thousands of farmers have been protesting against the farm laws near Delhi borders while the phase of ‘kisan mahapanchayat’ in Haryana is underway. Likewise, farmers organised Kisan Mahapanchayat in Sonipat where farmer leader Rakesh Tikait was also present.
Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait, during Kisan Mahapanchayat, said that the attitude of the government was very bad, which was against the farmer.
“All these three laws are anti-farmer and there will be revolution in the country. There will be kisan mahapanchayat all over the country,” he said. Even as he announced that farmers’ tractor rally will also be held in West Bengal.
On Narendra Singh Tomar’s statement (that crowd gathering doesn’t lead to revocation of laws), Tikait said that the Government gets changed by crowd gathering. He said that they (centre) have all gone mad and that their minds have been spoiled.
“We are now talking about repeal of farm laws,” he said during Kisan Mahapanchayat in Sonipat.
The farmer leader said that the government should talk to farmers and that all farmers should maintain solidarity. Rakesh Tikait said that the agitation will continue on the border of Delhi and a farmer will work in the field as well. “We will go all over the country and there will be tractor rallies, he said.
