Lakhimpur Kheri violence: Union Minister of State (MoS) for Home Affairs Ajay Mishra Teni's son Ashish Mishra was on Monday sent to three-day police remand provided that the accused will not be harassed and his lawyer will remain present during interrogation. Ashish Mishra was arrested on October 9 after 12 hours of interrogation by the crime branch of the Uttar Pradesh Police in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence.

However, Ashish has refuted the allegation. Earlier, security was beefed up outside the Sessions Court at Lakhimpur Kheri where Ashish Mishra was to be produced.
