ICU beds in Delhi amid Oxygen Shortage and Coronavirus Crisis: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday started hearing the petitions related to various issues arising due to a rise in COVID-19 cases in the national capital.
During the hearing, the Delhi High Court expressed helplessness, when a lawyer told the court about the condition of his relative and demanded an ICU bed as soon as possible.

The court said that "we have sympathy with you at the moment, what should we do if a hospital doesn't have ICU beds.
Meanwhile, the counsel appearing for that hospital told the court that the hospital was trying its best to shift that patient to ICU. "But currently, we (the hospital) don't have even one ICU bed in the hospital," the counsel added.

Senior Advocate Rahul Mehra, appearing for Delhi Government, told the High Court that 20 MT (Oxygen) was kept with them as a buffer to answer SOS calls. It will be in a tanker in liquid form.
On Tuesday, Delhi logged a record 381 COVID-19 deaths; over 24,000 fresh cases with a 32.72 percent positivity rate, the Health Department stated.
Delhi has been facing an unprecedented shortage of oxygen and ICU beds amid rising coronavirus cases. Even as the Delhi government has imposed a lockdown in the national capital till May 2.
