LeT suspect remanded to 10 days police custody by Delhi Court

A LeT suspect remanded to 10 days police custody by a Delhi court : A suspect of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Bilal Ahmad Kawa a suspected terrorist wanted for his alleged role in 2000 Red Fort terror attack  sent to police remand for 10 days by a Delhi Court today. According to the information ,The Special Cell of Delhi Police and Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), in a joint operation, apprehended Bilal at the Delhi airport on Wednesday night. The 37-year-old Bilal was detained after the Gujarat ATS got a tip-off regarding his movement from Srinagar to Delhi. A LeT suspect remanded to 10 days police custody by a Delhi court Some LeT men had sneaked into the Red Fort and started open firing on the guards of the 7th battalion of Rajputana Rifles. Three persons, including a civilian was killed on December 22, 2000. During this incident, the terrorists had managed to flee through the rear wall of Fort. It is to be mentioned that terrorist Mohammad Arif alias Ashfaq, who was convicted in the case and the court had awarded him death sentence. - PTC News
