Ludhiana: A man shot himself inside a police station in Samrala on Tuesday who was charged on the accusations of drugs. The man is identified as Nardeep Singh alias Soni who was arrested on Monday by the police under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
As per reports, the man during the investigation was questioned by the investigation officer ASI Gurjar Singh, who later went out for some time. Meanwhile, Soni pulled out the .9 mm official pistol of the police officer from the table drawer and shot himself and hence died on the spot.

Hence, several top police officials rushed to the spot and started further investigation. Also, it is been intervened that is the incident caused due to the police negligence or it was an accident. Nardeep Singh or Soni hailed from Manjoli village. Furthermore, the police said that the district sessions court had ordered a judicial inquiry into this matter.
