Madhya Pradesh: Woman gave birth to six children, all died
A 23-year-old woman had given birth to six children last week in Sheopur district in Madhya Pradesh. While two of the newborns died on the same day, the rest of the four newborns too died during the treatment. As per the report the woman had given birth to 2 girls and 4 boys. All the children were born prematurely and underweight.
As per the sources, the couple had reached the primary health center of Baroda, from where Murti was referred to the district hospital. She was accompanied by her husband Vinod and mother-in-law.
Badoda resident Murti Mali gave birth to 6 children within a span of 35 minutes, with two girls weighing just 390 grams and 450 grams, respectively, the Sheopur District Hospital Civil Surgeon Dr. RB Goyal said. Murti, a wife of the laborer, delivered six children in her first pregnancy.
He said that they were born in the 28th week of the pregnancy. The two girls, who were extremely underweight, died after a few minutes of birth. The four boys weigh between 615 grams and 790 grams. They were being treated at the Sick Newborn Care Unit.
Goyal added that the woman got to know that she was going to give birth to sextuplets (6 children) after sonography was conducted.

Meanwhile, the leading gynecologist of Bhopal, Dr. Meeta Agrawal, stated that it was a rare case as the chances for multiple gestations to happen spontaneously were very rare.
