Maha Shivratri 2020: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal and Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Friday extend greetings to the nation on Maha Shivratri 2020. Mahashivratri, also known as ‘Padmarajarathri’ and ‘The Great Night of Shiva’, is a festival which is celebrated annually in honour of Lord Shiva.

Sukhbir Singh Badal took to twitter and wrote: “May lord Shiva shower his benign blessings on you and your family. May happiness and peace surround you with his eternal love and strength. Happy Mahashivratri.”

Likewise, Harsimrat Kaur Badal shared a post on Facebook. She wrote: “May Lord Shiva’s eternal love show light of courage and faith through veils of darkness. Wishing you all good fortune and prosperity on Mahashivratri.”

Meanwhile, senior leader Bikram Singh Majithia said in a tweet: “I wish everyone a very happy Shivaratri. May the auspiciousness and blessings of Lord Shiva shower happiness, love and health on you.’

Earlier, President Ram Nath Kovind extended greetings on Mahashivratri. He said, “Greetings and good wishes to all fellow citizens on Mahashivaratri. May the blessings of Lord Shiva bring peace, happiness and prosperity to everyone’s life.”

Likewise, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Happy Mahashivratri to all of you. May the blessings of Baba Bholenath being happiness, peace, prosperity and good fortune in the lives of all the countrymen. Om Namah Shivaay!”

“Greetings to all the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivaratri. I pray to Mahadev for the continued prosperity of India. Har Har Mahadev!” Home Minister Amit Shah said.
