'Mahapanchayat' over Ballabhgarh murder case; police detains miscreants for blocking highway
Ballabhgarh student murder case: Haryana Police on Sunday detained several people after some miscreants tried to disrupt the law and order situation in Ballabhgarh at National Highway 2. The development came during a 'mahapanchayat' over Ballabhgarh case.
As per DCP Haryana Police, Sumer Singh, the permission for mahapanchayat over Ballabhgarh case was not taken by the organisers in Ballabgarh.

The 'mahapanchayat' was called by the people of 36 communities over the Ballabhgarh case. The locals had blocked the highway.
Earlier in the day, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had said that "Since Ballabhgarh woman killing case is being linked with 'love jihad,’ Centre as well as state govt is looking into it, and considering legal provisions so that guilty is not able to escape, and no innocent person is punished."

On Friday, Khattar had said that the trial against the accused in Ballabhgarh student murder case will be held in a fast-track court.
Khattar had said that the victim's family was satisfied with the Haryana government's action and that the culprits were nabbed within two hours of the incident and one who helped them was also arrested.
Meanwhile, the prime accused Touseef's accomplice Rehan was sent to 14 days of judicial custody.
So far, three persons were arrested in the case. The man who had allegedly provided pistol to Touseef has also been nabbed.
The final year commerce student was shot dead on Monday outside her college in Ballabgarh. She had gone to take an exam. Later, she rushed to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
