Majithia takes dig at Sidhu, 'Ghar Ghar Naukri' was only provide to the Sidhu Family
Taking a dig at the Congress government, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia on Friday said local bodies minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has been lucky as his wife and now son have got jobs under Captain led government.
He further said, Under Captain Amarinder Singh’s ‘Ghar Ghar Naukri’ promise nobody got any job except local bodies minister Navjot Sidhu’s family.
The statement came a day after Sidhu’s son was appointed as an assistant advocate general by the state government. Earlier, his wife was made chairperson of the Punjab Warehousing Corporation.
Bikram Singh Majitha said, he asked the people to “teach a lesson to the arrogant Congress government for betraying every section of society in the forthcoming bypoll going to be held on May 28.
“The defeat of the Congress candidate and sand mining mafia kingpin Hardev Singh Ladi is the only way to wake the government from its slumber and force it to implement the promises made to the people,” the Akali leader said.
“The minister (Sidhu) seemed be behaving like a ‘budhu (idiot),” Majithia said. He said the Congress’ campaign was unravelling in the constituency with a large number of people leaving it to join SAD.
“It is because of this that all ministers are being pressed into service to save the party from a humiliating defeat. Even the chief minister is finally climbing down from the hills and will be seen in Shahkot on Saturday,” he said.
