Man hurls bomb at Bihar CM's public meeting site in Nalanda, detained
Nalanda (Bihar), April 12: A bomb was hurled near Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's public meeting site in Nalanda on Tuesday.
Police officials have arrived at the site of the incident to ascertain the facts. According to a police official, they have detained one person in connection with a bomb that was hurled near Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's 'Jansabha' site in Nalanda.
The suspect has been taken for interrogation. As per the reports, the bomb exploded just 15-18 feet away from the stage where Nitish Kumar was seated.
The incident caused a stampede, however, no injuries have been reported yet.

Notably, Bihar CM is on a visit to Nalanda for Jan Samvad Yatra. On Tuesday the CM reached Nanand village after attending a program at the Vardhman Institute of Medical Sciences in Pawapuri where he was given a grand welcome by the villagers.
There was a lapse in CM's security in Bakhtiyarpur recently during a program too.
More details regarding the matter are awaited.
Earlier, a man was arrested on March 27 in Bihar for trying to attack Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The incident took place at Bakhtiyarpur block in Patna district, where Nitish Kumar was paying floral tributes to the statue of a freedom fighter from the area.
