Man rapes and murders a 6-year-old during Holi in Hyderabad
Rape is a menace that is rooted deeply in India. It doesn’t care about any festival before creating havoc in someone else’s life. This Hyderabad man (20) discoloured the life of a 6-year-old girl’s family on a day when the entire nation was smearing colours in each other’s lives and on the face.
Hyderabad police on Friday arrested a 20-year-old man for raping and murdering a six-year-old girl. The crime was committed during Holi celebrations in Alwal in Hyderabad.
According to media reports, the accused (Rajesh Kumar) was living with his relatives. The accused confessed to his crime during interrogation. Police has also recovered the weapon used in the crime. The victim’s father filed a missing complaint on Thursday night. In his complaint, he said that his daughter had gone out to play Holi and had not returned home yet.
Based on his complaint, a kidnapping case was registered. The crime team immediately started a search operation. In the meanwhile, a local informed the police about having seen the dead body. The police along with her parents reached the spot and recovered the body.
What exactly happened?
There was a Holi party organized by victim’s relatives and neighbour Dharmendra Singh in the locality. One of the attendees Rajesh Kumar was also there. He noticed the victim playing with her brother in front of her house. He called and took her near the railway tracks and raped her. The victim was feeling irritated and was making noise. It was then the accused took an iron wire and cut the victim’s neck.
The accused continued to rape her after murdering her. He threw the wire piece at the scene of the crime that police later recovered.
