Coronavirus Delhi: Amid the ongoing shortage of COVID-19 vaccines in the national capitals, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, on Tuesday slammed the Central government for exporting COVID-19 vaccines.
He said that "BJP says that Delhi Government should have floated an international tender to buy vaccines from the international market."

"Does this mean that all State governments should go to international markets to buy vaccines? Then, what is the role of the Government of India?" Manish Sisodia asked.
This comes after Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal wrote a letter to PM Narendra Modi, requesting to allow other companies to manufacture the two COVID-19 vaccines.

"Govt of India can do away with COVID-19 vaccine production monopoly using the patent law," he wrote.
Earlier in the day, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that "In the last few days, positivity rate has declined from 36 percent to 19.1 percent with the caseload also going down from 28,000 per day to about 12,500."
"Till we reach positivity rate at below 5 percent and caseload below 3000-4000 cases, we can't be at ease," he said.
Adding, he said that "The wave was very much there, but seemingly its peak was gradually declining since April end. Every day about 80,000 tests being done."
"Due to lockdown, people aren't coming out, while earlier people were going out with everybody being tested: he said.
Delhi on Tuesday recorded 12,481 fresh COVID-19 cases (positivity rate - 17.76 percent), 13,583 recoveries, and 347 in the last 24 hours.
