MEA writes letter to Pak High Commission over ‘killing of innocent civilians’ along LoC in Jammu and Kashmir

Following the death of an infant during mortar shelling by Pakistan along the Line of Control (LoC) in Shahpur area of Jammu and Kashmir, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has written a letter to the Pakistan High Commission, condemning the heinous move of targeting the innocent civilians, ANI reported. https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1156498738866720770 On Tuesday, India made a strong demarche with the Pakistan High Commission against the killing of an innocent Indian civilian in an unprovoked act of firing by Pakistan forces. Ministry of External Affairs said in a letter to Pakistan High Commission in India, the Govt of India deplores and condemns in the strongest terms such deliberate targeting of innocent civilians by Pakistan forces. This is against all established humanitarian norms and professional military conduct. Also Read: Pakistan reopens airspace which was closed since Balakot Air Strike Also, they said, "Pakistan authorities are called up to investigate into such heinous acts of killing innocent civilians & instructs its forces to desist from such acts immediately." The 15-day-old boy was injured and later, the infant succumbed to his injuries. The parents injured were Mohammad Arif (40), Fatima Jan (35). Meanwhile, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan himself has admitted that there are several militant groups operating in Pakistan, during his US visit. -PTC News
