Mi-17 chopper of IAF crashes near Kedarnath
“The helicopter was carrying three IAF crew members and four labourers. Just 20 meters before the helipad at Kedarnath, the Mi-17 helicopter, which was flying low, collided with a cable and crashed,” Rudraprayag Superintendent of Police (SP) Prahlad Meena said. All seven persons on board are safe, however, one crew member has received minor leg injury from the crash, Meena said.
The accident took place today morning.
A court of inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident.
