Patanjali Ayurvedic Medicines has been asked by the government to provide details of the anti-viral tablet Coronil launched by it as an alleged treatment for the patients of coronavirus (Covid-19). The ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) has directed Patanjali to stop advertising the products—Coronil and Swasari. Similarly, Patanjali has been warned to stop misleading advertising until the results are verified. "Facts of the claim and details of the stated scientific study are not known to the Ministry," the Ministry of Ayush said in a statement. It added that the company asked to provide details of medicines and to stop advertising/publicising such claims till the issue is duly examined.
