Modi celebrates Gurpurab with a selfie with Harsimrat Kaur Badal’s children
Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Gurpurab this year in a slightly different manner. He dropped in at his Cabinet colleague Harsimrat Kaur Badal's house and bowed in front of Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

A special kirtan darbar was organised at Harsimrat Kaur Badal's house on the occasion of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji’s Prakash Purab.
It was a rare family moment for Badals to have PM Narendra Modi as a special guest. Harsimrat Kaur Badal's children and her little nephews were overjoyed to see Mr Modi at her residence. Later, Harsimrat Kaur Badal tweeted about this beautiful moment.
“Thank you, @narendramodi Ji. My kids were thrilled to take this lovely selfie with you on #Gurupurab and my little nephews really enjoyed that serious discussion they had with you!”

To which Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted, “Today, on the auspicious occasion of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’ Jayanti, attended a programme at my colleague, Smt. @HarsimratBadal_ Ji’s residence. Over Kirtan, we all remembered the noble ideals and message of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.”
