Mohali: 4 waiters die after New Year’s party
Mohali: As many as four waiters, hired from a catering firm for organising a New Year party, died at a house in Mohali on Tuesday night. Meanwhile, the deceased have been identified as Dharam Singh (22), a resident of Kaimbwala village, Amit Kumar (20), and Rajnish Kumar (17), both residents Kansal village and Dwarka Prashad (33), a resident of Mauli Jagran. All the victims were from Uttar Pradesh and worked as waiters on a contractual basis. Upon receiving the information, the police rushed to the spot. In a statement, the police officials stated that the incident took place at a house in sector 69. After the New Year celebration concluded, the workers decided to stay back in a room inside the house.
