One dead, another injured after a speeding car overturns on Airport road
Mohali Road Accident: In a major road accident, a man died after a speeding car overturned after it hit the footpath at Chandigarh Airport road in Mohali on Thursday. The incident took place when he was driving a car from the Zirakpur side to Sohana.
According to the information, the deceased has been identified as Atish Walia, a resident of Pinjore. The 30-year-old man was allegedly driving recklessly as the car's speedometer was marked at 107 km/hr after the vehicle hit the footpath.
Meanwhile, the car overturned and its driver fell out. He suffered a head injury and died on the spot.
A woman was also present in the car got injured as she suffered a fracture in her leg, Sohana ASI Satpal Chaudhary said.

Likewise, the body was sent for a post-mortem examination after which it was handed over to the bereaved family.
