Mohammad Mustafa should apologise for calling Guru Granth Sahib ‘kitab’: SGPC chief 

Amritsar, February 1: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has objected to a statement of Congress leader Mohammad Mustafa describing Sri Guru Granth Sahib as ‘kitab’ (book). He has asked him to apologise to the Sikh community for hurting religious sentiments. Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said Sri Guru Gobind Singh, 10th Sikh Guru, had enshrined Guruship to Sri Guru Granth Sahib and asked the Sikh community to follow the Holy Scripture as Guru. His statement has hurt the sentiments of the Sikh community”, said Advocate Dhami. The SGPC president said Mohammad Mustafa should tender apology. Earlier, Navjot Singh Sidhu’s close aide former DGP Mohammad Mustaffa was booked by the police for allegedly making a provocative speech in Baghwala Mohalla in Malerkota on January 20.
