Mother of two found hanging in Sector 8 Chandigarh Body of a 25-year-old mother of two was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her Sector 8 home in Chandigarh on Monday. She was living in the servant quarters of a bungalow. The police had received a call in the morning that “Deepa” had committed suicide. Her husband works in an acupressure institute in Sector 43. According to the Sector 3 station house officer (SHO) Poonam Dilawari, “The child of the deceased raised an alarm after he saw his mother hanging, following which the neighbours informed the police. She was rushed to the hospital but was declared brought dead by the doctors.” Dilawari also said that the deceased, who belonged to Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh, was undergoing treatment at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) as she was mentally disturbed. She is survived by two children. No suicide note has been found in the case. -PTC News
