Mumbai: Israeli man arrested year after woman dies of suffocation during sex The Mumbai police have arrested a 23-year-old Israeli man in connection with the death of his 20 year old girlfriend that took place last year. The accused identified as Oriron Yakov was booked under ‘culpable homicide not amounting to murder ‘after the forensic science lab’s report confirmed that his girlfriend had died of suffocation during an act of sexual intercourse. Yakov and his girlfriend, also an Israeli visited India on tourist visa last year in March. They stayed at a hotel in Colaba Area, Mumbai. According to Yakov, he allegedly applied pressure on the women’s neck during the sexual intercourse due to which she got suffocated and died. He then informed the hotel staff that his girlfriend is lying motionless in the room, after which police rushed to the spot. The girl was rushed to the hospital where she was declared dead. A case of accidental death was registered last year as the exact cause of her death was unknown. Lately, the forensic reports have clearly stated that the woman died due to suffocation. On the basis of which, the Mumbai Police has registered a case against Yakov. -PTC News
