Mumbai Rains, Mahalaxmi Express Stuck: Nine pregnant women among 500 people have been rescued from the train stranded between the water near Badlapur, due to waterlogging tracks, amid incessant rainfall in Mumbai. The Kolhapur-bound Mahalaxmi Express with over 700 passengers on board was stuck when the Navy and NDRF pressed for the rescue operation. https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1155038320948318208 Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted the heavy to very heavy rainfall in Maharashtra including Mumbai, Thane, and Navi Mumbai, for the next 24 hours. https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1155036814127841280 The NDRF launched the rescue operation with taking out over 500 people from the stranded Mahalaxmi Express, which includes nine pregnant women. Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Chief Minister office has reported that Ambulances with 37 doctors including gynaecologists have been deployed for emergency situations. Likewise, for the further movements, three Tempos, and 14 buses have been arranged.
