Mumbai Rains: Train services hit, wall collapses, waterlogged roads

As heavy rain pounds Mumbai and neighbouring areas on Monday, waterlogging and traffic jams at several places were witnessed slowing normal life for people. Many trains were stopped and several were behind schedule as rain waters had inundated the tracks. Vehicular traffic on the roads was also redirected as many roads were closed down due to flooding. An IMD forecast said there will be continuous rain in Mumbai for rest of Monday and Tuesday. A wall collapsed on railway line at Sandhurst Road on Central Railway. Dadar bound slow local trains stopped. Due to bad weather, operations of private, chartered aircraft and choppers at Juhu aerodrome have been suspended till 3pm. Waterlogging at Andheri subway, Hindamata, Mulund station, King Circle (Gandhi market), Sion and Matunga. -PTC News
