Punjab: Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday has sent the resignation letter to the Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh. Confirming the delivery of the resignation to the CM residence, Navjot Singh Sidhu said, “Today I have sent my resignation to the Chief Minister Punjab, has been delivered at his official residence…”. Navjot Singh Sidhu took it to the twitter and confirmed that he has resigned from the post of the minister from the Punjab cabinet.

Navjot Singh Sidhu resignation has been in the headlines since the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Results came on May 23, as he gave a statement during the rally, that he will resign is Rahul Gandhi will lose the seat of Amethi. Likewise, Rahul Gandhi was defeated by BJP Smriti Irani with a margin of more than 50K votes. In a tweet on Sunday, he wrote, “My letter to the Congress President Shri. Rahul Gandhi Ji, submitted on 10 June 2019.” Likewise, another tweet said that “Will be sending my resignation to the Chief Minister, Punjab.” During the cabinet reshuffle, Congress Leader Navjot Singh Sidhu was reshuffled and handed over another portfolio, which wasn’t accepted by him till June 6. Afterwards, he decided to resign and met Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi on Saturday.
