Four members of a family attempted to commit suicide by jumping into a Bhakra canal in Nabha on Wednesday . In a tragic incident, a boy and his father drowned away in the suicide attempt.

The divers, who were present on the spot jumped into the canal to save their lives but the boy couldn't be saved. He was found dead when the body was recovered whereas the rescue operation is on to find the deceased’s father.

According to information, the couple along with their children’s tried to commit suicide by jumping into the Bhakra mainline canal . However, divers saved the Mother and daughter but their son died.

Both mother and daughter have been admitted to Government Rajindra Medical College Hospital in Patiala.
