Former Miss India and Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta recently opened up about 10-year-old controversy in which she alleged that she was harassed by Nana Patekar on the sets of “HORN OK PLEASE”.
Tanushree Dutta in an interview said that everyone knew about Nana Patekar that he always disrespects women. People in the industry know about his background that he has beaten up actresses, molested them, but no publication has ever printed anything about it.
In Tanushree Dutta’s own words, "Nana Patekar was being aggressive and was pushing me around. I complained about him, but it was not heard. They (film crew) were forcing me to do an intimate step. My contract stated that it was a solo dance sequence, and it was not supposed to be a duet. It was a way to manipulate me. This was the whole harassment situation going on.”

When she refused to do an intimate step, she said that Mob Lynching attacked her and family. She revealed that everyone in the Bollywood industry saw how Nana Patekar harassed her, but she saw not a single word of condemnation coming from anyone. She said that everyone saw her incident on the national TV, but there was a strong stoic silence on it.

Tanushree Dutta also accused film’s director Rakesh Sarang, producer Sameer Sidhique and Choreographer Ganesh Acharya of ganging against her.
When Ganesh Acharya was questioned about this incident, he shrugged his shoulders and said, that it is a very old incident and that is why he couldn’t remember much, but as far he could recall, nothing of this sort ever happened.

He also defended Nana Patekar saying that he is a very sweet person and he cannot do anything like that. In fact, he is very helpful and has helped a lot of artists in the industry.
No matter how much these #MeToo survivors keep coming in front; they above all, first have to prove their innocence- that she is not lying about this incident.

So, now what would happen next, suddenly everybody will wake up the past of the survivor. The design is very simple- doubting and blaming the survivor will discourage everyone else from reporting their similar #MeToo assaults.
