Late Arun Jaitley's death anniversary, PM Modi remembers him fondly

Arun Jaitley was an Indian politician and attorney and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He served as the Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs of the Government of India from 2014 to 2019. Jaitley previously held the cabinet portfolios of Finance, Defence, Corporate Affairs, Commerce and Industry, and Law and Justice in the Vajpayee government and Narendra Modi government. He passed away on 24 August 2019. On his death anniversary, the nation remembered his contributions and leadership qualities fondly. PM Modi was quite close to Late Arun Jaitley, Remembering him, he tweeted, "On this day, last year, we lost Shri Arun Jaitley Ji. I miss my friend a lot. Arun Ji diligently served India. His wit, intellect, legal acumen and warm personality were legendary. Here is what I had said during a prayer meeting in his memory." He also shared a video of his speech at late minister's prayer meet. Union Home Minister, Amit Shah also tweeted, "Remembering Arun Jaitley ji, an outstanding politician, prolific orator and a great human being who had no parallels in Indian polity. He was multifaceted and a friend of friends, who will always be remembered for his towering legacy, transformative vision and devotion to nation."
