Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been connecting to the nation on different occasions ever since the coronavirus pandemic broke out. He has been asserting the need to practice measures like social distancing and wearing masks to keep away from the contagion disease.
India on Tuesday reported 46,791 new cases of coronavirus and 587 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of COVID-19 cases in India to 75,97,064.
These include 7,48,538 active cases, 67,33,329 cured and discharged while 1,15,197, deaths.
Meanwhile, the Union Health Ministry had stated that the trend of daily cases in 5 most affected states – Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu – reveals stages of the decline of active cases.
“It mirrors a steady decrease in active cases in India with caseload being sustained below 8 lakhs for 3 days in a row,” it added.
