‘Golak’ stolen from Ludhiana’s Gurdwara

Ludhiana, November 23 : In yet another incident, a 'golak' was stolen by miscreants from Gurdwara Sahib of Kakka village in Ludhiana on Tuesday night. 

The whole incident has been recorded on CCTV footage in which four miscreants barged into the Gurudwara Sahib in village Kakka on Rahon road and stole 'Golak' from Gurdwara Sahib.

As per the footage, four unknown miscreants entered Gurdwara Sahib by breaking the locks and fled with 'golak'.

While addressing the media, the sarpanch of the village stated that the incident happened at midnight between 1 to 2 am.

The incident came into light  when Granthi Sahib of Gurdwara Sahib reached Gurdwara early morning to offer morning prayers and the locks of Gurdwara Sahib were broken, lying unclaimed in the open in the Gurdwara complex.

As soon as the incident came to the fore, Granthi Sahib informed police officials. 

The investigation is underway and the CCTV footage is being checked. 

The villagers and members of Gurdwara committee stated that such incidents was conducted to deteriorate situation of Punjab.

Meanwhile, earlier on Tuesday, tension gripped Ludhiana as torn pages of Sikh holy book, the Guru Granth Sahib, were found in Punjab’s Ludhiana canal.
