Himachal Pradesh: Brutal murder of Jalandhar brothers in HP's Nalagarh over monetary dispute
Shimla, August 11: A horrifying incident unfolded in Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh, where two brothers hailing from Jalandhar, Punjab, were tragically murdered, allegedly as a result of a monetary dispute. The incident occurred on Thursday evening and has sent shockwaves through the region.
The victims have been identified as Varun, employed as an electrician in the district, and Kunal. According to sources, the brothers were lured to a meeting spot on the Nalagarh-Ramshehar road by Gaurav Gill, a resident of Nakodar in Punjab. This meeting was supposedly intended to resolve a monetary dispute.
However, when the brothers declined to travel to Nakodar to meet Gill, they were directed to gather at a specific location. At this spot, the two brothers were ambushed by three individuals on a motorcycle, armed with sharp-edged weapons. The attackers launched a brutal assault, leaving the victims grievously wounded.
The incident was brought to light when the brothers were found lying on the road. The police acted promptly, rushing them to a nearby hospital. Tragically, the doctors pronounced both brothers dead upon arrival.
Law enforcement authorities are investigating the matter thoroughly, examining CCTV footage from the vicinity and establishing check posts to apprehend the assailants. Baddi Superintendent of Police, Mohit Chawla, has confirmed the registration of a murder case in connection with this appalling incident.
